Hello! If you’re watching this, it means you are a smart, good-looking driver who made the right ELD decision…
Your package is in the mail, I put in some D.O.T. paperwork, your new ELD hardware, and a few new stickers for your truck.
To set everything up, just scan the QR code on the package when it arrives.
New to QR codes? All good.
Step 1. Grab your phone or tablet
Step 2. Turn the camera on
Step 3. Point it at the QR code on the sticker
Step 4. And press on the link that appears
From there, I’ll show you everything you need to know to keep you compliant and getting paid.
Drive safe, we’ll chat soon!

Step 1. Go in your truck and plug in your new ELD device
Step 2. If you haven’t already, go to the app store on your tablet or phone and download the “Haulin’ Ass ELD” app.
Step 3. Open the Haulin' Ass ELD app
It’s going to ask a few questions about permissions, please select “yes” and “agree” to ALL the permissions it asks for.
If you hit “no” on something, the ELD will not work.
Step 4. Sign in
You should have a text with you your USERNAME and PASSWORD (if you don't, please text me and I'll send it to you 323-433-5662)
Type in that info exactly how it’s spelt out in your text.
There’s also a little dropdown arrow that says English, if you want to change the app language to Spanish, press that little arrow and select Espanol.
Then, press SIGN IN
Step 5. Configure the ELD
A little popup will ask you to configure your ELD, press CONFIGURE
When it says ELD has been successfully configured, press OK, then SIGN IN
Step 6. Set up your tractor and trailer
Press on SELECT TRACTOR
Press the PLUS (+) button
Type in your tractor’s information then press OK
Make sure your tractor is selected then press SAVE
Now, when you’re pulling a trailer, press on SELECT TRAILER
Same thing, press the PLUS (+) button, add the info, press ok, select the trailer, and press SAVE.
Now insert your tractor’s miles in the Dash Odometer field
Then do it again to confirm they’re correct
Then press SAVE
Step 7. Select your ELD device
If you don’t see your new ELD device listed, press on SCAN DEVICES
When you see your device, press on it to select it then press CONTINUE
Step 8. Run the diagnostic
Take a look to make sure the info is correct and the top bluetooth and truck icons are green
If they’re red, that means something isn’t connected correctly. Check that the hardware is plugged in right and your phone or tablet is synced up. Then press on RUN ELD DIAGNOSTIC again
When everything looks good, press CONTINUE
And that's it! Good work! You are all set up and ready to drive

Wondering what all these buttons do?
Here's the break down...
Your home screen is where you control all of your statuses.
OFF DUTY = Press this when you are off duty
ON-DUTY = Press this when you begin working. In the “REMARK” menu, you can select which task you are doing.
DRIVING = Press this when you are on-duty and driving
PERSONAL = Press this when driving for non-work related personal use
YARD = Press this only when moving around the yard
SLEEPER = Press this when you are resting in your bunk
ROADSIDE INSPECTION MODE = Press this if a DOT officer is asking to see your logs. Inspection mode will block the DOT officer from looking at your app and only show them what they’re legally allowed to ask for.
DVIR INSPECTIONS = Press this to run through your DVIR inspection and view all of your previous inspections.
PROBLEM? If something isn’t working and you need to start driving, just switch to paper logbooks and contact us on your next break.
